Light fire protection cabinets and safes

DIN EN 15659 establishes requirements on light fire protection cabinets for safeguarding against fires and describes the test procedures.

The test procedures serve to determine the resistance of light fire protection cabinets to safeguard paper documents against exposure to fire. Two levels of firing duration (LFS 30 P and LFS 60 P) are envisaged which are defined taking into account the maximum permissible temperature increase in the interior of the fire protection cabinet.

A classification of the products takes place based on the test results. MPA Dresden GmbH is a European Security Systems Association (ESSA) e.V. recognised fire test centre.
