Verification of the safe storage of radioactive wastes in the event of fire
By means of a normative kerosene fire, containers for the storage of radioactive wastes have been subjected to a large-scale firing over a specified period of time. With these fire tests the evidence was provided that in the event of fire radioactive materials are stored safely for a defined period of time (e.g. in the case of a transport vehicle fire in accordance with IAEA Safety Standards "Regulation for the Safe Transport of Radioactive Material").
Due to the size, the planned configuration or the materials to be used, some tests are difficult to implement. We have a high degree of technical know-how at our disposal. For this reason we are happy to tackle such exceptional customer enquiries.
