International recognition – in the service of our customers
International alignment has been an important matter for us right from the start. Our accreditation as a test laboratory in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 was attained for the first time at the start of the 1990's. Since then the scope of our remits has been regularly broadened to enable us to constantly fulfil the high level requirements of our customers reliably and comprehensively.
With our accreditation as an inspection and certification centre the basis was established for our results and documents to be recognised internationally. The European Notification in accordance with the Construction Products Regulation was a logical step.
Thus we are ideally positioned to provide support – especially in the building and construction industry – in the increasing harmonisation in Europe and to exploit this opportunity. In other areas such as rail vehicle construction and in the cable industry the international acceptance of our test centre has long been a major prerequisite for our successful activity.
Hence MPA Dresden GmbH has been successful in becoming recognised by numerous international establishments and governments – for example by the Association of Cantonal Fire Insurances (VKF) in Switzerland for construction products and designs, by the United Arab Emirates for diverse fire protection products and by the IMO in London for tests in accordance with the FTP Code for maritime shipping.
We are listed as a certification centre with the United Arab Emirates and the Qatar Ministry of the Interior. The test laboratory is also recognised by the United Arab Emirates.
