Advisory board

The certification centre advisory board is a steering committee which monitors the activity of the certification centre and is furthermore active in an advisory capacity.

This includes, for example, monitoring and advising on:

• the professional activity of the certification centre,
• adherence to the principles of impartiality and neutrality,
• adherence to the certification centre's principles and rules.

Where there are technical misunderstandings between the certification centre and manufacturers, the advisory board can also be called upon as arbiter. The members of the advisory board represent manufacturers, authorities, authorised specialists from the area of approval and also the management of the certification centre. In so doing, heed is paid to having a balanced proportion of votes so that no one group is capable of a majority.
